How To Join

Please View and Print the SFAAA Membership Application Form. It is a PDF document and contains all the information about joining our great astronomy organization. After filling out the form, you can either mail it to our Treasurer or bring it along to one of our meetings.

Thank you for your consideration in becoming a member of the South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association(SFAAA)! Regardless if you are a newcomer to the hobby or a long time observing veteran, our range of events, programs, member interests, and observing aids can be at your disposal. We encourage all members to be participants in club activities so all of us can benefit!

SFAAA maintains a Yahoo Group where our members can communicate among each other. Members can coordinate "spur-of-the-moment" trips out to many of our local dark sky locations, share news and ask questions, as well as sharing experiences in astronomy.

As a member of SFAAA, supervised access to the observatory will be available during members only nights. After completing training, the observatory and tools can be available for use during any non-public events.

Our Saturday Night Public Viewing is always a great time to volunteer and be able to educate visitors while sharing the night sky. (Broward County background check is required to interact with members of the public)
