Club Equipment
The primary observatory equipment consists of our 16 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain @ F/10 mounted in the outdoor dome, the 14 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain @ F/10, the 6.5" Brandon Refractor, three Dobsonian reflecting telescopes, the largest being 13in(330.2mm) in diameter. Both of the Schmidt-Cassegrains are frequently fitted with CCD imagers to offset the effects of light pollution. Apart from the observatory's scopes, many of our members have scopes of their own. On a good clear night its possible to have as many as 15 telescopes setup in various places around the observatory. The history of the Brandon Refractor is available here:

Loaner Equipment
The SFAAA also has telescopes that to loan out to members in good standing. See the Loaner Page for information on how to check out an instrument and what is available.
