SolaRay is a metalized, multi-faceted, polyester, octagonal disc. It is slightly convex, attached to individual plastic pegs, and deliberately designed to reflect light from all angles.
How It Works
SolaRay’s shimmering, mirrored discs catch all natural or projected light and throw back a magnified sparkle of brilliantly multi-colored highlights of random patterns. Sunlight during the day or overhead lighting at night and a gentle breeze set SolaRay in motion. It will catch the eye of the pedestrian or approaching motorist, arouse curiosity and get the message read.
SolaRay’s uses are many and varied, i.e. special effects on television, stage spectaculars, movies, billboards, marquees, trade exhibits, floats, commercial signs, highway and street traffic signs, displays, company logos, marching bands, half-time pageantry, indoor signage and vehicles.
SolaRay is equally effective indoors. Air conditioning or a fan is sufficient to activate SolaRay—ideal for store windows, danglers, counter teasers, interior accenting exhibits, point-of-purchase displays, movies, shows and TV commercials.

SolaRay is supplied in square foot panels. It comes assembled and ready for use. SolaRay can be cut to suit any need, i.e. circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, contour outlines or unusual shapes and designs. SolaRay is easy to install. It may be affixed to any surface, i.e. cloth, wood, metal, foam, plastic. It can be attached by rivets, staples, tape, glue, screws or nails. Individual SolaRay discs are also available by the pound.
SolaRay discs come in two sizes: 3/4 inch and 1 1/2 inch diameter. They are fabricated from a multi-layer lamination of UV resistant, dyed and metalized polyester.
The 3/4 inch SolaRay square foot panels consist 14 one foot linear strips that can easily be cut into individual one foot strands with wire cutters or tin snips. Each 3/4 inch SolaRay square foot panels has 196 multi-faceted discs, with 14 discs positioned on each one foot linear strip exactly 1/16 (0.0625) inch apart.
The 1 1/2 inch SolaRay square foot panels consist of seven one foot linear strips that, like the 3/4 inch SolaRay, can be cut into seven individual one foot lengths using wire cutters or tin snips. Each 1 1/2 inch SolaRay square foot panel consists of 49 multi-faceted discs, with seven discs positioned on each one foot linear strip exactly 1/8 (0.125) inch apart.
SolaRay is available in white, silver, yellow, gold, copper(orange), brown(gun metal), pink, red, dark green, light green, dark blue, light blue, purple, and black.
